International Women's Day 2021

From Monday 8th March to Sunday 14th March 2021, Bristol Women’s Voice hosted Bristol’s International Women’s Day events entirely online. We created an exciting and vibrant programme that enabled people to stay safe but still connect to celebrate women and girls around this important day.
#IWD2021  #ChooseToChallenge  #IWD2021BWV  #WeAreBristol

2021´s international theme was #ChooseToChallenge, and we programmed a week of online and remote activities with a couple of activities each day and two full days of events on the weekend. There were also some activities available all week and some interactive elements that people could join in with at home. We tried to make sure there was a spread of different types of activities across the week that anyone in Bristol could engage with and get involved in remotely.

As usual, we had a programme packed with performances, activities, discussions and workshops that inform, inspire and celebrate women!

Programme

Bristol Women’s Voice are excited to have worked with Miranda Rae, Broadcast Manager at Ujima Radio, who  curated a YouTube playlist showcasing the work of local women musicians, singers and producers as part of the online Bristol International Women’s Day events.
